What She’s Passionate About
Barb is passionate about purpose. She loves impacting people’s lives in meaningful ways, whether it’s making others feel cared for during times of transition or engaging in meaningful work and relationships. When change is imminent, it doesn’t always have to be painful, and changing mindsets with the right approach is where Barb gets a lot of energy.
Her Professional Experience
Barb began her career in HR over 20 years ago. Around 2004, she gravitated toward the fields of strategic change and workforce performance, so she went back to school and earned a Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. She also earned Prosci Change Management certifications. Her most recent roles were fully dedicated to engagement, culture, executive coaching, leadership development, and change management.
Where She Shines
Barb sees her potential fully realized around stakeholder management. She loves connecting with folks, understanding what makes them tick, and finding ways to make their lives easier. Barb believes facilitating improvement in work performance gives people energy, and she feels grateful to be doing work that improves the lives of others.
How She Makes a Difference
Barb is on a mission to find a cure for Multiple Myeloma, an incurable form of cancer that has affected her family. Her determination and commitment have caused everyone in her circle to believe she will be the person to find a cure, and Barb says she’d be over the moon if that turns out to be true! She also serves on the OH/KY/IN regional board for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
