What She’s Passionate About

Language and the art of communicating effectively professionally and outside of work. Chris loves that a single word or phrase spoken or artfully written at the right time, in the right place, can change the trajectory of someone’s thinking, behavior, or even their entire life. Chris also loves helping organizations embrace and sustain transformational change.

Her Professional Experience

Chris had worked in the private education sector as a kindergarten teacher and for an internet-based company as a corporate trainer before transitioning to a consulting and communications career. She jokes that her most stressful job to date was selling snow cones as a teenager. “When it’s 100 degrees in Miami, people want their snow cones yesterday. To this day, I get a little anxious around snow cones…”

She’s Not All Business

Her favorite title is “Mom” to her two daughters, son, and dogs. Chris says her girls are super sassy and keep everyone on their toes, and her little guy is sweet and loves to be the center of attention.

How She’ll Surprise You

Chris was raised in Haiti until age 10, and she is fluent in English, Creole, and French. She has written an unpublished children’s book called Griffin Takes the El, and she used to run a children’s clothing store on Etsy called Red Turtle Blue Frog. The store centered on fabrics that promoted sensory development and movement yet were versatile enough for a church outing or playdate. Chris says that, if life had gone differently, she would be running a doggy day care, writing children’s books, and operating a children’s clothing line.
