An Unlikely Path
Kelly switched her major her junior year of college from pre-med to technical writing. She wanted to be a pediatrician but, decided it was going to take too long to be a doctor. She always loved to write so technical writing was a great choice. In the summer, she temped for different companies. One summer she worked at Novartis in their cafeteria and was responsible for the sandwich station as well as washing the dishes.
How She Makes a Difference
Kelly participated in an event called Feed My Starving Children with her son’s cross-country team. It was a rewarding afternoon spent packing nutritious meals for hungry children around the world and hanging out with a great group of kids.
Kelly’s favorite movie is “It’s a Wonderful Life,” and her favorite quote is “Remember no man is a failure who has friends.” She has been married for 18 years and has five children ages six to 15 years.
