Her Professional Experience  

Maria has spent most of her career in the non-profit healthcare and education fields, managing business operations and human resources. She has also worked as a consultant for small businesses helping them with accounting, payroll, and project management. Maria’s most recent adventure was being a partner in a small foodpreneur start-up that she ran with her sister. 

All-Time Favorite Book 

“The Art of Possibility” by Benjamin Zander and Rosamund Stone Zander. Maria loves this book because it challenges readers to change their perception in order to open up a world of possibilities in business or personal roles and relationships. 

How She Makes a Difference 

Maria is a Master Gardener and volunteers at Gorman Heritage Farm in their Market Garden. Her passion in the garden is veggies; she loves growing them and sharing them!

Can’t live without the NPR Politics Podcast or flip flops. (Maria celebrates “Toe Liberation Day” every spring.) 
Enjoys gardening, interval training, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family.
