Entrepreneurialism, education, and community engagement. His personal mission is to assist others to overcome their fears and realize their dreams.
A true entrepreneur at heart, Norm has started several successful businesses, many of which have received national press and recognition for accomplishments in training, publishing, and web development. Norm continues to share his passion for entrepreneurship by helping young business owners in the community develop and grow their ideas.
How He Makes a Difference
Norm serves on the Northern Kentucky University Board of Regents, Kentucky Commission on Small Business Advocacy, and Gateway Community and Technical College Foundation Board. He was also the Chair of Covington’s Bicentennial Committee, helping organize thousands of volunteers to create five projects (including a book, film, and museum exhibit), plan, and execute over 50 events, and more. Previously, he served on Kentucky Community and Technical College IT Advisory board, the Northern Kentucky EZone board and the United Way’s 211 Advisory Committee.
What He Literally Brings to the Table
Norm grew up in a restaurant family back in New England and his culinary skills can compete with best of them. For the first several years of TIER1’s existence, Norm cooked Christmas dinner for all employees and guests. (We can attest to his skill in the area!)
Norm loves spending time with his wife Lisa, daughters Cassandra, Katie, and Brianna, and his dog Bentley. He particularly loves the dining room at home where good food, good wine, good music, and good conversation always take place. (Or Newport Rhode Island in the summer…another favorite) Other favorites include cycling, traveling, sports, and enjoying good wine…not boxed wine. He’s a music fan, but don’t think you know what he likes by hearing it once. He matches styles by the time of day – French music with breakfast, rock all day, and Italian or smooth jazz with dinner. Norm is a diehard Red Sox and Patriots fan!
