Teresa is a trained neuroscientist with experiences that span clinical research, life science commercialization, entrepreneurship, leadership, career, and professional development, as well as STEM education. She has a PhD in Neuroscience from UT Health San Antonio and has served as the COO of a clinical research organization. Additionally, Teresa is particularly proud of her prior published research, which catalyzed a conversation about mental health in graduate education.
Teresa exudes the rare combination of entrepreneurial energy and urgency coupled with deep strategic thinking. She is highly personable and compassionate and is motivated to promote others’ success through thoughtful and strategic guidance.
Teresa often provides mentorship to the next generation of professionals. She is fueled by their excitement and passion for what they wish to become, and enjoys offering her insights on how they can achieve their dreams.
Teresa is a working mom and the wife of a pilot. She is deeply proud of her role as a military spouse and values the relationships she has created through that role. She is reminded daily of the good in people through the attributes she sees in her military family members and colleagues.
Teresa’s favorite movie is You’ve Got Mail, and her favorite forms of exercise are cycling (often using her Peleton!), yoga, and meditation.
