We’re proud to announce our sponsorship of the TEDxAtlanta 2019 conference on Friday, March 15. This year’s event promises to “challenge us to reconsider what we think we already know” about systems, society, technology, and more. We’re excited to invest in this “brain spa” that brings together Atlanta’s thinkers, doers, and storytellers.
“This event promises to be full of big growth concepts that can help our coworkers, our families, and our communities flourish,” shares Jim Ruberg, TiER1’s Regional Consulting Director for the Southeast region. “What’s interesting for us isn’t just the ideas, but seeing them come to life and bring about meaningful change for people and organizations.”
TiER1 also will be facilitating a TEDxAtlanta Salon Session this May that will equip attendees with the design thinking tools they need to activate their ideas and bring them to life. Design thinking helps people cultivate an activation mindset and learn to approach problems and solutions in new ways. In this activation workshop, TiER1 will take a deep dive into two of the five steps of design thinking and provide tools for bridging the gap between ideation and activation.
Wondering who else will be at TEDxAtlanta? Check out the full listing here. Several TiER1ers will be attending, so if you’ll be in the area, please say hello!
About TEDxAtlanta
The new TEDxAtlanta, a merger of TEDxPeachtree and TEDxAtlanta in 2018, is organized by Ideas into Action, a Georgia-registered nonprofit with the mission to amplify local ideas globally and global ideas locally to propel communities to action. The day-long, annual TED-like conference and other interactive experiences throughout the year are planned by a team of volunteers led by former TEDxPeachtree licensee Jacqui Chew. TEDxAtlanta is independently organized under license from TED and multiple speakers have been featured on TED.com.
TEDxAtlanta 2019 speakers are at the forefront of resetting the systems, social mores and technological innovations driving humanity’s future. From confronting anger to becoming a multiplanetary species, to building a web of trust, each of the 17 presenters will share their respective ideas in 9- to 18-minute TED-like talk format.
