What She’s Passionate About

All things related to helping people tell their stories, especially when it’s associated with change!

Her Street Cred

Christy’s professional experience as a designer, artist, poet, professor, and a writer reflects her diverse background in art, design, writing, communication, teaching, and consulting. Her desire to solve complex problems in a collaborative manner is enriched by her expertise in user-experience, concept design, story-telling, and narrative. She owned her own company and continues to run a creativity consulting company that helps “Bring creativity to life.” She led the design program at the Art Academy of Cincinnati until she left to work for a design company in Silicon Valley.

How She Makes a Difference

Christy believes that change, while not easy, is a constant. And this is her “sweet spot”. She loves the messy parts of change, and helping people through the unknown to a place where they emerge stronger and, hopefully, happier. Helping people make meaningful connections between their potential and purpose is what motivates Christy to do what she does; it gets her closer to fulfilling her dream of making a positive impact on the world.

Her Favorite Quote

“Optimism is a strategy for making a better future. Because unless you believe that the future can be better, it’s unlikely you will step up and take responsibility for making it so. If you assume that there’s no hope, you guarantee that there will be no hope. If you assume that there is an instinct for freedom—there are opportunities to change things—there’s a chance you may contribute to making a better world. The choice is yours.” –Noam Chomsky

Family Love

Christy loves spending time with her two amazing daughters and their cat, and puppy.
