PROJECT highlights

Change Management lead on ERP Implementation

Project Background: To successfully guide their organization toward a stronger, more unified business, a global chemical company wanted to streamline its systems, processes, and information by implementing a centralized technology platform (ERP). TiER1 was brought in as a change management partner, and to manage all communication and training associated with the multi-year transformation.

Project Solution: The Oracle implementation replaced 140+ legacy systems resulting in a more streamlined organization. The change management, communication, and training development led by TiER1 impacted 2,000+ end users across 4 SBUs in North America, Mexico, and Canada.

Over the multi-year engagement, TiER1:

  • Led the change strategy and leadership alignment prioritization plan
  • Managed 180 super users to support their network
  • Developed an employee communication portal
  • Created readiness activities including roadshows, demos, and practice sessions
  • Developed action plans based on ongoing end user surveys and feedback
  • Launched various modes of training including eLearning, ILT for 50 business processes, Train-the-Trainer sessions, job aids, and all coordination associated with training across various locations

New Ways of Working: An Adaptive Workforce

Project Background: The technology team within a Fortune 100 insurance company was looking to shape an adaptive workforce – one that would prepare them to face the ever-evolving needs and expectations of their industry and customers. The organization needed ongoing modernization of technologies and skillsets; IT leadership needed to define and align on new behaviors, routines, and mindsets that could serve as a framework for the future.

Project Solution: Using a design thinking approach, TiER1 worked with the technology team’s executive council to craft a transformation plan “from the bottom up.” It included constructing story, surfacing routines, establishing principles, and developing a roadmap. We then conducted immersive sessions with teams at all levels within IT. Sessions were focused on prioritizing ways of work critical to transformation success; observing existing processes and co-designing new or revised ways of working; and noting unique opportunities for the future.

Project Result: All insights from the immersion experience were synthesized into an activation blueprint for building an adaptive workforce throughout the organization. Feedback was incredibly positive, including:

Acquisition Integration Strategy

Project Background: Prioritizing the people side of a large acquisition that impacted 3,000 employees, the large financial institution wanted to imagine a comprehensive M&A experience that focused on culture, brand, and business needs.

Project Solution: TiER1 partnered to define an integration and employee experience strategy that provided a meaningful transition for new employees and all major lines of business. After thorough discovery and definition of the systems and process integration that needed to occur, the team developed acquisition experience maps that guided leadership alignment, employee onboarding, and a comprehensive organizational change strategy.

Project Result: Alignment of systems, policies, processes, and the desired go-forward culture to enable desired behaviors and outcomes.
