WHAT’S TiER1 like ?

What’s it like? Honestly, being a TiERer can be magic. But it isn’t easy; it requires high trust and hard work. No one hands this ideal experience to us; we’re all part of creating it. As an ESOP, every TiER1er is an owner; and that’s not just a benefit, it’s a responsibility.

We exist to help people do their best work, and that starts with helping each other (you’ll hear the word “love” around here – and we mean it). We’re on a journey of experimentation and discovery, looking to prove that the best of what you can imagine within organizations is possible. We don’t have it all figured out, but we’re committed to the journey.

And that means a lot is required of us. TiER1ers are asked to step into ambiguity, seek perspective, grapple with issues, dance with nuance, embrace initiative and be accountable. We see leadership potential in every individual, and we look to develop it. With other TiER1ers in our corner, we take risks, succeed, stumble, support each other, and grow. That growth is amazing. And also… going through it can be difficult and uncomfortable.

So why do we do it? To realize potential. We’re here to have broad reach and deep impact. And that means having the courage to be different.

If you know someone at TiER1, send them your resume and let them know you’re interested in applying. They can give you perspective on how we work and how you might fit, and share with our team their personal insights on your potential.

If you don’t know anyone at TiER1, reach out to TiER1ers on LinkedIn. Connect and explore. Talk to them about their experiences at TiER1. Ask about the work itself. Share why you think TiER1 might be for you. You’ll learn a bit more and likely make another good connection in your network along the way.

What to expect when you submit

Let’s be honest, any web HR application process is no fun. Yet, we have found that it’s the best option for learning about you. We get a lot of submissions, and we have a small staff, which makes it hard for us to respond to submissions in the personal way we would want to. (And that makes us feel bad, because we love getting to know new people!)

So, when you submit your application, you will get the form letter response. That lets you know that we’ve received it; we promise that someone on our team will review it as soon as possible and say hello.
