What She’s Passionate About
Using well-established and novel scientific methods to solve real-world problems. Camilla is particularly passionate about this approach when it comes to designing solutions for complex, high stakes environments.
Her Professional Experience
The focus of Camilla’s work over the last few years has been on leader development for the U.S. Army. Much of this has involved designing assessments and training that focus on developing leader attributes such as character and advanced skills (e.g., problem solving, critical thinking, or adaptability).
How She Makes a Difference
Camilla volunteers at Walter Reed through an organization called CAUSE. They host a UFC fight night and serve pizza and drinks to patients and their families (Camilla spends most of that time with her eyes closed or wincing when someone gets hit). Camilla is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Chavez-Tatro Foundation, which currently focuses on supporting mental health initiatives and education.
She’s Not All Business
When not in the office, Camilla loves spending time in the woods with her two mutts. One is a great dog and the other one is naughty (but really sweet!).
Fun Facts
Can’t live without her dogs or chocolate (and whiskey—they go together, right?).
Obtained her degree to work with older adults, but has focused her work on soldier training and education.
