What She’s Passionate About
Helping people “connect the dots”, particularly around change.
Her Experience
Heather spent the first part of her career in corporate learning roles, initially making the transition to change management to help the learning initiatives ‘stick’. In doing so, she found a new passion for her work – strategic change management. Heather has led large change projects supporting both systems implementations and soft skills development.
An Unlikely Path
Heather started college pre-med and had a lifelong dream of becoming a pediatrician. She made it through 3.5 years pre-med, before making the decision that raising a family and being a wife were really her biggest dreams. So, she found a career that allowed her to do fulfilling work while staying focused on her family.
How She Makes a Difference
Heather has organized several Melanoma Awareness Days in honor of her husband’s sister, who passed away at the young age of 30 from malignant melanoma. Unfortunately, Heather and her family now know a lot about skin cancer and effective skin care, but she enjoys sharing what she’s learned with anyone who asks.
Her Non-TiER1 Family
Heather’s biggest passion is her family – her husband, two daughters, two fur babies, her siblings, and her and her husband’s parents. Heather’s younger sister has been her best friend her whole life, something they are both extremely thankful for. When asked about being a mom, Heather said “Being a mom is the hardest job I’ve ever had, but it’s also been the most rewarding.”
