Victoria Rodgers
Cardinal Stritch University
What She’s Passionate About
Cultivating relationships and digging into the passions of people. People make this world go around, and Victoria values taking the time to be present with those around her to hear their experiences and passions and engage them accordingly. That’s why Victoria loves learning and the development of people. Whether she’s in the classroom facilitating a session or in a one-on-one coaching session, making the connection and breaking down complex concepts (and then helping people apply those concepts) is a real joy. (And yes, Victoria talks to strangers for fun.)
Her Professional Experience
Victoria’s career started in retail sales. She transitioned into sales (primarily B2B) in the telecommunications industry in the late 90s. While achieving some top honors in sales, Victoria realized along the way that coaching her teammates on new products, systems, and sales had awakened a passion in her for learning and development. After completing her undergraduate, she advanced through Time Warner Cable to lead business services learning. Victoria’s joy and passion for coaching, facilitation, and learning strategy led her into consulting and, ultimately, leading business development for a learning organization and fully applying all skills.
An Unlikely Path
Victoria didn’t start her undergraduate studies until she was 25. Her love for telecommunications networks, systems, and engineering led Victoria to start at Milwaukee School of Engineering, International Business Engineering with a minor in German Studies. She completed her final year at Cardinal Stritch University, where she earned a B.S. in strategic management information systems with an HR certificate. It’s a slightly odd educational background for someone in learning. 2017 marks the completion of Victoria’s MBA in General Business Strategy.
Where Her Potential Is Realized
When she’s in Dora the Explorer mode. This is when Victoria wanders cities and various countries, often solo, to take in the environment and talk to strangers. Despite her introverted ways, Victoria finds a way to build connections, some long term, others just for the moment.
Fun Facts
Her first love is boxing.
Learning about bourbon, scotch, and tequila is her favorite past-time.
Can’t live without music and food of all kinds.
