Social Impact Grants
Social impact grants enable us to bring our diverse skill sets to the social service and nonprofit organizations in our regions. These projects often result in a volunteer engagement strategy, a workforce training solution, or change and communication strategies and deliverables. Through our social impact investments, we donate at least 1% of our annual revenue to the community through talent and monetary contributions.

Social Impact Project Highlight: Partners For Change
In 2025, we teamed up with Partners For Change, which collaborates with Northern Kentucky’s school districts to create safe and engaging environments for students and families to learn and grow. The organization’s Out of School Time programs, for example, provide students with personalized academic programming and enrichment opportunities after school and in the summer. Together, we mapped out a journey and identified assets that would enable Partners for Change to increase the reach and impact of its Out of School Time programs across Northern Kentucky.
Workplace Mental Health
Since 2015, TiER1 has developed and supported programs focused on awareness of mental health and how it impacts all of us. Mental health is central to workforce performance, leadership effectiveness, and culture resilience. A safe and resilient workforce starts when we’re able to talk about what’s getting in the way of being our best selves.
The Scurry
Since 2010, TiER1 Performance has joined forces with local business owners and community members to activate mental health awareness through a unique fundraiser called The Scurry. (Think The Amazing Race meets Minute to Win It.) Through the 14th annual Scurry, hosted on May 16, 2025, in Covington, KY, we raised more than $48,200 for three local organizations that work tirelessly to support people through their mental health journey, including The Lindner Center of HOPE, Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky, and the Adapt for Life program at Cincinnati Children’s. Mental Health Program Expansion
Mental health and well-being are central to performance, leadership effectiveness, and culture resilience. In 2015, we launched the Start the Conversation initiative within TiER1 to help people recognize how common mental illness is and encourage them to talk to others about it. To further reduce the stigma around mental health in our communities, we partnered with mental health experts to create an organizational experience that other companies could participate in to create healthier environments where employees are more comfortable and knowledgeable in seeking help for their family and friends and themselves.
In 2025, we refined and expanded our mental health and well-being offerings to include three programs that organizations can use to get started, including Start the Conversation, Jumpstart the Conversation, and Lead the Conversation. Learn more.
Platinum Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health Award
In recognition of our commitment to creating mentally healthy workplaces, TiER1 received the Platinum Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health Award in April 2025. Awarded by Mental Health America—the country’s leading nonprofit dedicated to addressing mental health—the Bell Seal evaluates organizations across culture, benefits, compliance, and wellness. Only two in five employers meet the certification standards, and even fewer achieve Platinum status.
